Welcome to the Rushalanche!

Since most of you readers have never heard of monoblogue prior to my conversation with Rush, a little about my website.

I started this a couple years ago because I couldn’t write a letter to the editor every day. But in the last 22 months this has become my hobby/obsession and the actual reason I wanted to call in was to see what websites are considered the top sites for conservative thinking so I can link to them and use them to improve my own writing.

On monoblogue, I cover a variety of subjects ranging from national and Maryland politics to my love of baseball and local music. Another goal is to inform the voters of the Eastern Shore and elsewhere of the political choices they have and editorially push them in the “right” direction.

So welcome to monoblogue, and I hope you come back often. And thank you for the “big show business break” Rush!!!

P.S. There’s been many great comments so far and I’m going to spend some time this weekend answering them. I’ve always been proud of those who comment (I think I have the best readers of any website) and you folks continue the tradition. Plus you’ve given me valuable insight on good websites, some I already knew of and a few I didn’t.

And for those who ask, in maybe two hours you’ve topped my best WEEK ever. Now the challenge is to keep all of my new readers, and I look forward to it. My thanks to you and to Rush for taking my call.

  6. Good question for Rush, and good luck. On Laura Ingram’s show she was asking for callers to ID their mood. Mine is “concern.” My concern is that we aren’t teaching our children the true story of how great the United States is. Our schools aren’t teaching it – to the contrary, schools seem to highlight our country’s faults. Our schools aren’t teaching the true role of our government, either. If it continues, kids will grow to believe that government is responsible for providing everything to everyone!

  7. I enjoyed hearing you on Rush’s show today, and thanks for providing me with some affirmation for the project I am working on now. I haven’t gotten a domain to host it yet, but I am working on a site that I hope to get up and running in the not to distant future.

    I hope you get a lot of hits as a result of your conversation with Rush, but I do have to tell you that I got your site’s name wrong, I thought it was monoblog.us and the only way I actually found it was that you said it was monologue with a b thrown in.

    I didn’t hear the spelling and had to google variations on your name. By then your site was zapped thanks to Rush.

    I heard you on the Rush show and was duly impressed. Hence, memorized your website and decided to visit.
    Some Website Suggestions: HumanEvents.com (Ann Coulter’s & other cutting edge Conservative Writers Editorial Site); Drudgereport.com (All Conservatives surf this site); Frontpagemag.com (Another great source of neo-con info); NewsMax.com (Various articles about current political events); Regnery.com (Conservative Publishing site). These are all good sources.
    I’m originally from the No. East (NYC & LI) but moved to Mississippi in support of several DoD contracts. I’m a Sr. Communications/Network Engineer (IT) working for a Defense Contractor (22 yrs). I met my wife (former resident of San Diego, CA for 28 yrs) here in MS in 2002. She’s a military brat and we hit it off immediately due to our Pro-Military, Pro-Conservative viewpoints. Anyway, I’m curious about the Eastern Shore area of MD. I’ve spent lots of time in No. VA and MD (Towson, Chevy Chase areas) for work. Thought that MD was staunch Liberal/Democrat, high-crime country. I would like to hear otherwise.

I have not seen this blog until I heard you on Rush this afternoon, and judging by how difficult it was to get into this site following your call, many others did too, so congrats on the big break. On a show that costs $20,000 to advertise, that was valuable. I am still developing my conservative mind, which is why I listen to Rush whenever I can, and I look forward to checking in often to get your take on things.

  21. Congrats on the Rush exposure! Hope its good for business. I wouldve never have found u otherwise and you have great content andbim browsing on my iPhone so I’m excited to get home on my computer and really dig in. Couple of questions/suggestions: how many hits have you received since Rush announced ur site? Have you tried buying http://www.monoblog.com and forwarding to your site? Or if toucan afford them you should spend money on google and advertise with those urls as the optimzation. You have several things going against you: .us vs .com. Monoblog vs Monoblogue. Simple spelling of Monologue…etc. I would help your odds now that your site is out there. Good luck!

This would be most interesting and heartening to see. I bookmarked your site and will do some reading later when I get time… which is very little. I listen to Rush every day he is on and that is mostly while at work. He inspires me to work hard and achieve the American dream which is getting much closer at hand. Kudos for you.
