Hi Mike,

Thanks for NOT including Maryland Politics Today (http://www.marylandpolitics.us) in your 2009 blogging guide this year. I guess averaging over 10,000 hits the week leading into this year's election and the fact that there were a number of slow news stretches in the last part of the year (plus the fact that I was wrapped up into the final weeks of the fall semester) means that I am not serious blogger based on your standards.

Whatever!

I'd still like to hear your explanation of how some of these blogs meet your 1000 reader standard.

Here's one you missed. It puts many of your top 50 to shame.

Thanks. I just got back from a week off - in Florida, where the weather sure was nicer - and Monoblogue was my first stop on the web.

Thoughtful and thought provoking; this post shows a great deal of hard work and will prove an asset when time allows for broadening one’s reading horizons. Happy New Year. Looking forward to another year for Maryland – Delmarva blogs making a difference.

What is your definition of readers? If you are suggesting that some of these blogs have 1000 unique visitors per month, then I question your statistics.
