Taking the test, again

Back in the ttrwc days I took the “World’s Smallest Political Quiz” and it showed me as closer to libertarian than conservative.

Timmer at Righting America takes a different, longer quiz and is surprised by the results.

Read the post and you’ll see my comment about where I fell on it. I was only surprised about one direction.

Late edit: to show you how dense I am about computers sometimes, it was just today that I finally figured out how “trackbacks” work. So I actually am tracked back from Righting America.

  1. Michael –

Yeah, I DID take it again. THIS TIME I just ignored the absolutism of any given question … and predictably moved to the right, but STILL ended up slightly to the the left of center, and slightly Authoritarian. Just goes to show…

  2. It turns out I’m centrist, leaning towards statist.
I believe the question that weighed the most was:
    Unequivocal freedom of speech/press.
My reasons for answering “Maybe” have to do with the abuses of the
    freedoms I have witnessed.
I’m still in favor of criminalizing inappropriate premeditated
    vulgar behavior.
Did you read about the protesters who held their rally at a cemetary
    to disrupt a veteran’s funeral?
There are photographs of chopped up fetuses plastered on the sides of
some trucks that travel from city to city in a protest against
    abortion.
I don’t want to be the moral police, but some people’s rights to
freedom of speech are infringing on my rights to not expose myself
or my children to graphic pictures of hacked up fetuses.
So, yeah, I’m a little authoritarian.
